What services do you provide?
Brick City Educational Services provides individualized academic tutoring, educational enrichment, autism and ADHD support, executive functioning support, skill generalization, social skills development, life skills instruction, homeschool evaluations, and parent consultation. Services are tailored to each child's unique strengths, needs, and goals.
What ages and grade levels do you serve?
All services are available for preschool and elementary students. Homeschool evaluations, assessment administration, and parent consultation are available for students in preschool through high school as well. Support is individualized and designed to meet students at their current developmental and academic levels.
Do you work with students with autism and ADHD?
Yes. I specialize in supporting students with autism, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, learning differences, and developmental delays. Services focus on helping students build skills, increase independence, and generalize learning across home, school, and community settings.
What is skill generalization?
Skill generalization is the ability to use a skill across different environments, people, and situations. Many children can demonstrate a skill in school or therapy but have difficulty applying it at home or in the community. Services are designed to help students successfully transfer and maintain skills across settings.
Do you provide ABA therapy, counseling, or clinical services?
No. Although I have ABA and counseling training, Brick City Educational Services only provides educational support services, tutoring, skill development, and parent consultation. Services are not ABA therapy, counseling, speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychological services, or medical treatment.
Do you accept Step Up For Students scholarships?
Yes. Brick City Educational Services is an approved provider through Step Up For Students. Eligible families may be able to utilize scholarship funding for approved services. Families are responsible for verifying scholarship eligibility and available funding through their scholarship accounts.
Do you work with public school, private school, homeschool, and virtual school students?
Yes. Services are available for students in public schools, private schools, homeschool programs, virtual schools, and personalized education programs. Support is individualized based on each student's educational setting and goals.
Do you offer homeschool evaluations?
Yes. Homeschool evaluations and academic assessments are available for Florida homeschool students. Evaluations are conducted in accordance with Florida homeschool requirements and are designed to provide families with meaningful feedback regarding student progress and educational growth.
Where do services take place?
Services may be provided in the home, virtually, in community settings, or other mutually agreed-upon locations. The service location is determined based on the student's needs, goals, and family preferences.
How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. Contact Brick City Educational Services to schedule an initial consultation. During the consultation, we will discuss your child's strengths, needs, goals, and recommended services. Families will then complete the appropriate intake forms and service agreements prior to beginning services.
How is Brick City Educational Services different from traditional tutoring?
Traditional tutoring often focuses solely on academic subjects. Brick City Educational Serices takes a more comprehensive approach by supporting academic growth, executive functioning, communication, social-emotional development, life skills, and skill generalization. Services are individualized and may include collaboration with parents, educators, and therapy providers to promote consistency and meaningful progress across settings.
